RESOLUTION 16-08
RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING CONTINUATION OF CDBG FUNDING OF
WESTERN COMMUNITIES ACTION NETWORK (WeCAN)
WHEREAS, the City of Spring Park has supported services for its residents given
by WeCAN, a community -based human service organization dedicated to helping
low-income people achieve greater self-sufficiency and family stability; and
WHEREAS, these services include emergency assistance for housing stability,
family support services, Meals on Wheels, job seeking support and public
assistance intake services and other resources; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Spring Park recommends to the Consolidated Pool Selection Committee that
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding of Western Communities
Action Network be continued.
