A Resolution Proclaiming Thursday, June 20th1 2013 To Be Awing Day
In The City Of Spring Park
WHEREAS, Minnesota is home to approximately 30 people with ancestral
roots in Awing, Cameroon whose King is Fon Paul Fozoh II; and
WHEREAS, the Awing in Minnesota are hosts to a series of events about the
Awing Heritage from around the globe, celebrating Awing language and
culture; and
WHEREAS, HRM Fon Fozoh II the King of Awing whose presence affirms the
need for celebration of friendships throughout the world; and
WHEREAS, HRM Fon Fozoh II, a world leader who is proud to share the
heritage of Awing with the world; and
WHEREAS, The City of Spring Park welcomes the King and people of Awing,
and wishes all Awing a very successful gathering of their people now;
• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Spring Park does hereby proclaim Thursday, June 20, 2013 to be: AWING
DAY IN THE CITY OF SPRING PARK, and urge all citizens of Spring Park to
honor this day and take note of the Awing people among us and of their
many accomplishments.
