It also includes a dishwasher, dump sink, service sink, floor drains and a hand sink. The plans for the project named above have been reviewed for substantial compliance with the Minnesota Plumbing Code, as amended, apply, and does not cover the water supply or sewage system to which this plumbing system is connected. The review is limited to the design and data on which the design is based are correct, and that necessary legal authority has been obtained to construct the project. The responsibility for the design of structural features and the efficiency of equipment must be taken by the project designer. Approval is contingent upon satisfactory disposition of any requirements included in this report. Inspection: All plumbing installations must be tested and inspected in accordance with the requirements of the Minnesota Plumbing Code as specified in the Minnesota Plumbing Code 4714.103.5 thru 4714. 103.8. It is the responsibility of the contractor/installer to notify the inspection department when ready to schedule an inspection. All plumbing shall be installed in accordance with the MN Rules, part 4714.0100 2. The plumbing system shall be tested in accordance with the MN Rules, part 4714.103.5 thru 4714. 103.8 3. The water piping system shall be disinfected as per MN Rules, part 4714.609.9 4. As per MN Rules, part 4714.603.5.7 all threaded hose connections must be provided with an approved safety devise. 5. As per MN Rules, Chapter 4714. Tables 702.1 and 703.2_ All sinks, except for lavatories, must be provided 2- inch minimum vertical fixture drains. 6. As per MN Rules 4714. 604.1 verify Materials used for water supply lines comply with the Minnesota Plumbing Code. 7. Pipe hangers and supports shall conform to MN Rules4714.313.5. 8. As per MN Rules 4714.312.9 Plastic and copper piping penetrating framing members within 1 inch of the exposed framing shall be protected by steel nail plates not less than No. 18 gauge in thickness. The steel nail plate shall extend along the framing member not less than 11/2 inch beyond the outside diameter of the pipe and tubing. 9. As per MN Rules 4714.504.4 thru 504.6 Equipment used for heating water or storing hot water shall be protected by an approved safety device. 10.As per MN Rules, part 4714.507.5 discharge from a relief valve into a water heater pan shall be prohibited. Discharge relief valves shall terminate to a safe place of disposal or within 18 inches of the floor. 11.As per MN Rules 4714.Section 704.3 Pot sinks, scullery sinks, commercial kitchen sinks, beverage service sinks and other similar sinks shall be connected directly to the drainage system. A floor drain constructed without a backwater valve shall be provided adjacent to the fixture and be installed between the floor drain waste and the fixture drain. The fixture and the floor drain shall be trapped and vented in accordance with the code. 12.As per MN Rules. Chapter 4714. Section 707.10 Cleanout openings may not be smaller than required in Table 707.1. A clean out must be installed where there is an increase in pipe size from 2 inches to 3 inches and 3 inches to 4 inches. 13. PVC plastic pipe used for the drain, waste, and vent system shall comply with ASTM Standard D2665, D2949 or F891 per the MN Rules, part 4714.701.1. 14.As per MN Rules, part 4714.605.13.2 solvent weld joints in PVC pipe and fittings shall be clean from dirt and moisture. Apply primer in color in accordance with ASTM F 656.which is of a contrasting color to the pipe and cement. 15. The plans and specifications were prepared by a licensed master plumber. The plumber who has prepared the plans is the only one that can use the plans for construction. If another plumber is contracted to install the plumbing, they must submit their own plans and specifications for the project.
