To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is regarding the above -mentioned property. It has come to our attention that work requiring a
building permit may be in progress or have been completed at this property. At this time, we are requesting
a site inspection of the property to verify if the work being done requires a building, plumbing, and/or
mechanical permit in accordance with MN Rules, Chapter 1300.0120 and to determine if there has been a
change in use and occupancy.
MN Rules, Chapter 1300.0160, Subpart. 7 states: "If work for which a permit is required by the code has been
commenced without first obtaining a permit, a special investigation shall be made before a permit may be
issued for the work."
MN Rules, Chapter 1300.0220, Subpart 1 states: "No building or structure shall be used or occupied, and no
change in the existing occupancy classification of a building, structure, or portion of a building or structure
shall be made until the building official has issued a certificate of occupancy for the building or structure under
this part."
