CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 7:00p.m. CITY OF SPRING PARK CITY COUNCIL MINUTES JANUARY 18, 2022 — 7:00 PM SPRING PARK CITY HALL Mayor Jerome P. Rockvam, Council Member's Jeff Hoffman, Mark Chase, and Gary Hughes were pre- sent. Council Member Horton was absent Staff Present: City Administrator Tolsma, Interim City Administrator Brimeyer, City Engineer Niel- son, and City Attorney Tietjen 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Mayor Rockvam led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance. 3. ADOPT MEETING AGENDA Council Member Hoffman motioned, being seconded by Council Member Chase to adopt the meeting agenda as amended removing item 9.ORDINANCES& RESOLUTIONS. On vote being taken, the motion was unanimously approved. 4. ADOPT CONSENT AGENDA Council Member Chase motioned, being seconded by Council Member Hoffman to: a. Approve Regular City Council Meeting Minutes from January 3, 2021 On vote being taken, the motion was unanimously approved. 5. PUBLIC FORUM - none 6. PRESENTATIONS & GUEST SPEAKERS - none 7. PUBLIC HEARINGS - none 8. PETITIONS. REQUESTS. & APPLICATIONS -none 9. ORDINANCES & RESOLUTIONS - Council Member Hoffman motioned, being seconded by Council Member Chase to table the approval of Ordinance's 22-01 & 22-02 until further information is pro- vided. On vote being taken, the motion was unanimously approved. a. Ordinance 22-01: Amending Ch. 42, to Require Short -Term Rentals to Comply with Property Maintenance Code Council Proceedings January 18, 2022 Page 2 b. Ordinance 22-02: Amending Ch. 10, Adopting the International Property Mainte- nance Code 10. REPORTS OF OFFICERS AND COMMITTEES - none a. Mayor & Council -Council Member Hughes stated there is a Fire Commission meeting on January 19th where he will receive the 2021 final numbers. Mayor Rockvam brought forward the mansion fire in Minnetonka Beach. He commented that Min- netonka Beach did not participate in the contract to use Mound Fire department, yet Mound Fire was the first to assist putting out the fire in their city. b. City Staff - City Administrator Tolsma thanked everyone for his time in Spring Park. Mayor Rockvam thanked him and wished him the best. Rockvam also stated that Jim Brimeyer will be coming in as the Interim City Administrator while the city searches for a replacement. c. Contract Staff - none 11. NEW BUSINESS & COMMUNICATIONS - a. Interim Administrator Agreement - Jim Brimeyer Council Member Hoffman motioned, being seconded by Council Member Chase to approve the In- terim Administrator agreement from Brimeyer with an effective date of January 17, 2022, through December 31, 2022. On vote being taken, the motion was unanimously approved. 12. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT a. January 18, 2022, Claims Council Member Chase motioned, being seconded by Council Member Hoffman to approve the claims for payment. On vote being taken, the motion was unanimously approved. 13. UPCOMING MEETINGS & TRAINING a. February 7 - City Council Regular Meeting - 7:00 PM - CANCELLED Council Member Hoffman motioned, being seconded by Council Member Hughes to cancel the February 7, 2022, Regular City Council Meeting. On vote being taken, the motion was unanimously approved. b. February 9 - Planning Commission Meeting - 6:00 PM c. February 22 (Tuesday) - City Council Work Session Meeting - 6:00 PM d. February 22 (Tuesday) - City Council Regular Meeting - 7:00 PM 14. MISCELLANEOUS (INFORMATION ONL)o- none 15. ADJOURNMENT There being no further discussion, Council Member Hughes motioned, being seconded by Council Mem- ber Hoffman to adjourn the meeting at 7:13p.m. On vote being taken, the motion was unanimously approved.
