Scope: The project consists of plumbing in new plumbing for bar/kitchen
bathroom. The plumbing consists of a new drain,waste,vent, water piping and
installation of three compartment sinks,a hand sink,floor drain s.This building is
served by an existing municipal sewerand water.
The plans forthe project named above have been reviewed for substantial
compliancewith the Minnesota Plumbing Code,as amended, apply, and do not
cover the water supply or sewage system to which this plumbing system is
connected.The review is limited to the design and data on which the design is
based are correct, and that necessarylegal authority has been obtained to
constructthe project. The responsibility forth design of structural features and
the efficiency of equipmentmustbe taken by the project designer. Approval is
contingent upon satisfactory disposition of any requirements included in this
report.
Inspection:All plumbing installations must be tested and inspected in accordance
with the requirements of the Minnesota Plumbing Code as specified in the
Minnesota Plumbing Code 4715.2820,4715.2820 Sub.2 and Sub.3. It is the
responsibility of the contractorrnstallerto notifythe inspection departmentwhen

Requirements:
1. All plumbing must be installed per2015 MN Rules,Chapter4714.
2. The plumbing system shall be tested in accordance with MN Rules,
Chapter4714. Section 609.4, 712.0, and 1109.0.
3. The plumbing system shall be disinfected in accordance as per MN Rules,
Chapter4714.Section 609.9
4. TAs per MN Rules,Chapter4714. Section water meters shall be located
inside the building and at least 12 inches above the finished floor.
5. Faucets equipped with threaded hose connections mustbe provided with
approved backflow preventers.This shall includethe mop sink.
6. Asper MN Rules,Chapter4714. A floor drain (Tell-tale )constructed
withouta back water valve must be installed on the individual branch
serving the fixture to be protected such as food preparation, pot, and
scullery sinks.
7. Materials used for drain,waste and ventsystems must comply with the
MN Rules,
8. As per MN. Rules 4714.904.1 The size of vent piping shall be determined
from its length andtotal numberof fixture units connected thereto, in
accordance with table 703.2.
9. Verifywater supply lines comply with ASTM (American Society for Testing
and Materials) B88 Standard.
10. In all buildings otherthan dwellings,shutoff valves shall be installed which
permit the water supplyto all equipmentin each separate room or to each
individual fixture to be shutoff without interference with the water supply
to any other room or portion of the building as per MN Rules,
11. Waste supply connections to fixtures or equ ipmentwh ich have
submerged inlets,or inlets below the spill of the fixture or equipment,must
be provided with an air gap arrangement,approved backflow preventeror
backflow preventer assembly per the MN Rules, and This shall include the
potable water connectiontothe ice maker and to the coffee maker.
12. Water supplyto post-mix-type carbonated beverage machine musthave
an approved stainless steel double check valve backflow preven ter with
an intermediate atmosphere ventinstalled preceding the carbonator per
the MN Rules,
13. Asper MN Rules4714, Section 407.3 hot water delivered from public use
lavatories shall be limited to a maximum temperature of 110 degrees
Fahrenheit.
14. Pipe hangers and supports shall conform to MN Rules, Chapter4714.
