Call to Order
The workshop convened at 12:00 noon. The purpose of the workshop was to discuss
goals, objectives, projects, etc. with the new administrator. Items covered are listed
below.
Planning and Zoning
A checklist for applicants is needed. More review and oversight is needed to be done by
staff. The agreement for additional services from the Orono building inspector has not
been completed yet.
Administration
• The transition was discussed.
Capital Improvement Plan
A comprehensive CIP needs to be developed. A draft version has been completed.
Election
The administrator updated the council on staff training for the upcoming elections.
Lakeview Lofts Paint Color Arbitration
Nancy Beck updated the council on the process.
Lift Station#6
On May 17 city staff and the city engineer met with Bollander (the contractor) to discuss
the change orders. It was suggested following the meeting that the city appoint two
council representatives to negotiate payment with Bollander. It was the consensus of the
group not to do this; the payment issue will be discussed in front of the entire council.
The landscaping of the lift station was discussed.
