SPECIAL MEETING
CLOSED SESSION OF THE COUNCIL
JUNE 1,2006
Council Members Present: Mayor Rockvam, Council Members Hughes, Reinhardt,
Williamson (arrived late), Widmer
Staff Present: Administrator Friesen
Others Present: City Attorney Nancy Beck,Attorney Vern Vander Weide
Call to Order
Mayor Rockvam called the meeting to order at 12:02 p.m. The meeting was closed
because the council met with Vern Vander Weide, the attorney who represents the City in
the arbitration between the City and Lakeview Lofts LLC (Lakeview), and Frostad
Development Company (Frostad). The City claims that Lakeview and Frostad violated
the Development Agreement by changing the exterior colors of the Lakeview Lofts
building without City approval. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss with Attorney
• Vander Weide strategy and other matters related to the arbitration which are covered by
the attorney-client privilege exception to the open meeting law.
Adjournment
The meeting adjourned at 1:20 p.m.
