CITY OF SPRING PARK CITY COUNCIL MINUTES AUGUST 19, 2024 – 6:30 PM SPRING PARK CITY HALL 1. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. Council Present: Mayor Hoffman, Council Member’s Rimolde, Sippel, Chase, and Horton were present Staff Present: City Administrator Anderson 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Mayor Hoffman led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance 3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Council Member Sippel motioned, being seconded by Council Member Horton, to approve the agenda as amended removing item 7a. Planning Commission Appointment, from the Action Agenda. On vote being taken, the motion was unanimously approved. 4. PUBLIC COMMENT** a. None 5. REQUESTS & PRESENTATIONS a. None 6. CONSENT AGENDA* a. Regular City Council & Work Session Minutes – July 15, 2024 b. Approval of Expenditures/Claims c. General Business License Renewal - Skingevity Med Spa d. Special Event Permit Application #24-11: Back Channel – Westonka Sound Wave e. 2025 LMCC Budget Council Member Horton motioned, being seconded by Council Member Rimolde, to approve the Consent Agenda as presented. On vote being taken, the motion was unanimously approved. 7. ACTION AGENDA a. Planning Commission Appointment 8. REPORTS a. Mayor & Council Council Member Chase brought forward a suggestion to move the Council and Work Session meeting times up by 30 minutes - Council Meetings would be moved to 6:00p.m. and the Work Sessions to 5:00p.m. All agreed and a Resolution changing the meeting times will be on the agenda for the next meeting. Council Member Rimolde brought forward a question of whether we received any complaints about Back Channel’s early Awakening event. Administrator Anderson stated we did not receive any complaints. Council Member Sippel would like to have a sign posted on Hazeldell that says No Semi-Trucks Allowed. There is not enough room for semi-trucks to turn around and they are tearing up people’s yards. Council Member Sippel motioned, being seconded by Council Member Horton, to direct staff to order a No Trucks Allowed sign and have it posted on Hazeldell. On vote being taken, the motion was unanimously approved. b. Staff; Administrator Anderson provided an update on the Warren Ave. project. 9. ANNOUNCEMENTS/MISCELLANEOUS (INFORMATION ONLY) a. September 3, 2024 – Regular City Council Meeting – 6:30PM b. September 11, 2024 – Planning Commission Meeting – 6:00PM c. September 16, 2024 – Regular City Council Meeting – 6:30PM d. September 16, 2024 - Council Work Session – 5:30PM 10. ADJOURNMENT There being no further discussion, Council Member Sippel motioned, being seconded by Council Member Horton, to adjourn the meeting at 7:09p.m. On vote being taken, the motion was unanimously approved.
