Notes:
1. Table does not include effect of pressure drop across the line regulator. Where regulator loss exceeds 3/4 psi, DO NOT USE. THIS TABLE. Consult with the
regulator manufacturer for pressure drops and capacity factors. Pressure drops across a regulator may vary with flow rate.
2. CAUTION: Capacities shown in the table might exceed maximum capacity for a selected regulator. Consult with the regulator or tubing manufacturer for
guidance.
3. Table includes losses for four 90-degree bends and two end fittings. Tubing runs with larger numbers of bends or fittings shall be increased by an equivalent
length of tubing to the following equation: L - 1.3n where L is additional length (feet) of tubing and n is the number of additional fittings or bends.
4. EHD-Equivalent Hydraulic Diameter, which is a measure of the relative hydraulic efficiency between different tubing sizes. The greater the value of EHD,
the greater the gas capacity of the tubing.

Mechanical: Approved with Comments - Tom Krause, tkrause@safebuiltcom
SCOPE OF WORK: Installing gas line from gas meter at the exterior of the building to the generator located adjacent to
the building.
PLAN SPECIFIC ITEMS (to be completed during the cortsbxK;tlon process):
1. Minimum burial depth of the gas line shall be 12" below grade. (2020 Minnesota State Fuel Gas Code, Section
404.12)
2. Gas line installed underground shall be of approved material.
3. Plastic pipe installed underground shall be permitted to terminate above ground outside of buildings where
installed in premanufactured anodeless risers or service head adapter risers that are installed in accordance with
the manufacturer's instructions. (2020 Minnesota State Fuel Gas Code, Section 404.17)
4. A yellow insulated copper tracer wire or other approved conductor, or a product specially designed for that
purpose, shall be installed adjacent to underground nonmetallic piping. Access shall be provided to the tracer wire
or the tracer wire shall terminate above ground at each end of the nonmetallic piping. The tracer wire size shall be
not less thanl8 AWG and the insulation type shall be suitable for direct burial. (2020 Minnesota State Fuel Gas
Code, Section 44.17.3)
5. Gas piping installed above ground and outdoors shall be elevated not less than 3'/:" above ground. (2020
Minnesota State Fuel Gas Code, Section 404.9)
6. CSST gas piping placed underground or exposed to the exterior elements shall be installed in accordance with the
manufacturer's installation instructions.
