Correspondence - Setbacks - Approval for Garage AdditionBuilding right not is 49 ft from what I can see.
With garage will be 25.1 ft meeting the 25ft requirement.
Should be good 😊

20-21 is a side yard setback variance by 3.4 feet and a reduced front (streetside) yard setback to 25 feet for the garage.
Here is Cheney’s plan that is in his property file. If I remember right, he converted the existing garage to a bedroom addition.
I think the building right now is at 25’…..

Resolution 20-21approves the variance. Plans submitted should have matched the ones Cheney gave to Ceasar which I spoke to him about and Joe numerous times, plus his builder.
If Safebuilt is approving and it meets the 25 yard front setback – we should be good. But I haven’t seen the plans personally. I will send a note to Safebuilt. Hang tight.

Sounds good.
I only see a variance for a side yard setback…..are you seeing something else? If so, let me know where so I can get it into Laserfiche.

Yeah I have been talking to this guy, new owner of Cheney’s place. They have the variance and the requirements for the garage. They plan to make it smaller than the requirements. But
yes, we need the plans submitted to.
When we get everything, we can chat with the County as well. I think they plan to get it done before Sunset project this year.
Thanks!

FYI – I told this guy we need drawings/plans for this garage and advised him of the street setback, the county ROW, and road reconstruction net year. I think we should get the county’s
approval as well if this is OK from a city perspective.
Let’s chat about it more tomorrow – the county is taking land if it is needed for both perm and temp easements. If you don’t agree to their offer on the perm easement, they will start
condemnation proceedings. I don’t want us to get caught up in that by approving a new garage in their possible space.
