current Minnesota State Building Code. This review is limited to the submitted scope of work; is based upon the
supposition that the data on which the design is based are correct and that the necessary legal authority has been

Scope: The renovation of this unit to include, two toilets, a lavatory, a kitchen sink, two laundry trays, four future rough -
ins, a bathtub, a shower, and a dishwasher.
The plumbing plans for the project named above have been reviewed for substantial compliance with the adopted 2020
Minnesota Plumbing Code, as amended. This review does not cover the water supply or sewage system to which this
plumbing system is connected. This review is limited to the provided design and data on which the design is based. It is
assumed that the provided design and data are correct, that necessary legal authority has been obtained to construct the
project, and project designer assumes the responsibility for all aspects related to the design. Approval is contingent upon
satisfactory disposition of any requirements included in this report.
Inspection: All plumbing installations must be tested and inspected in accordance with the requirements of the adopted
Minnesota Plumbing Code, 2020, as specified in sections MN Rule 4714 subd 609, 712, and 1107 unless otherwise
approved in writing in advance of the inspection.
Scheduling inspections: call (952)442-7520 24 hours in advance. Provide the permit #: 25SP-00080.
Requirements: The requirements listed are set forth in the adopted Minnesota Plumbing Code, 2020, MN Rule 4714.
1. All plumbing shall be installed in accordance with 4714.0100.
2. Drain, waste, and vent (DWV) piping and fittings material shall comply with the requirements of Table 701.2. The
joining of the pipe and fittings, and the joints and connections shall conform to the requirements of 4714.705.0.
3. All sanitary drainage pipe must be sloped at %-inch per foot minimum (see 4714.708.1). Only where site conditions
preclude this slope, pipes 4-inch and larger may be sloped at ?-inch per foot where approved by the administrative
authority.
4. Cleanouts shall be installed in conformance with 4714.707.4.
5. Vent terminations through the roof shall meet all the requirements set forth in 4714.906.1 through 4714.906.7.
& Water pipe and fittings materials shall conform to the requirements of Table 604.1. The joints and connections of
the pipe and fittings shall conform to the requirements of 4714.605.0.
7. Supports and hangers for the piping to be installed shall conform to the requirements of Table 313.3.
8. Plastic and copper pipes penetrating framing members to within 1 inch of the exposed framing shall be protected
by steel nail plates as required in 4714.312.9.
9. Piping penetrating fire rated walls, partitions, floors, ceilings, roof/ceilings, or shafts shall be protected in
conformance with the Building Code, as required in 4714.312.7.
10. Piping in return air plenum spaces shall be of approved materials for the application.
11. Hot water piping shall be insulated as required in the energy code and 4714.609.11.
12. Potable water system sanitizing shall conform to the requirements of 4714.609.9.

13. The lavatories to be installed shall conform to the standards listed in 4714.407.1, with the faucet complying with
the requirements of 4714.407.2.1.
14. Water closets shall conform to the standards required in 4714.411.1.
15. Toilet seats shall comply with the requirements of 4714.411.3.
16. Individual shower and tub -shower combination control valves shall comply with the requirements of 4714.408.3.
17. Bathtubs and whirlpool bathtubs shall comply with all requirements of 4714.409.0.
18. Fixtures with fast acting valves shall be protected from water hammer with arrestors that conform to the
requirements of 4714.609.10.
19. Any modification to existing piping will require prior approval and a plan review.
20. The plans and specifications were prepared by a licensed master plumber. The plumber who has prepared these
plans is the only one who can use these plans for construction. If another plumber is contracted to do the
plumbing, they must submit their own plans and specifications for the project.
