Hi Lori,
Thank you again for your help with this and speaking to my husband yesterday. I know he thought it was
helpful.
We've pulled together a drawing that hopefully gives you a better idea of what we are looking to do and
addresses your questions.
As you can see, this is a relatively small shed at 52 square feet. Like you discussed with my husband, we
are planning to have the siding of the shed match the house and the roof match the roof of the house to
make it as attractive as possible.
I couldn't find a survey, but I did find a helpful property map that I've attached. It should help you see the
proportions of impervious surface vs grass.

I still need a drawing showing what the shed looks like—looks like it's a lean-to? And a drawing that
indicates the placement of this structure as it relates to the property line. Finally, we need to know what the
impervious surface is on your property before and after the construction of the shed. This is usually shown on
a survey. Can you please provide this information?

Do you have a current survey and a plan or drawing of the shed size/dimensions and where it will be placed on
your property? Sheds are required to meet all setbacks and impervious surface requirements so we need to
validate that this will meet those requirements.
It looks like there is already a 3 ft. side yard variance on that property from 1978 leaving the side yard setback at
7 ft.
We can't process your permit until we have these items for our planner to review.
Please send over as soon as you can.
