CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SPRING PARK, MINNESOTA
HELD: MAY 18, 2026
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular or special meeting of the City Council of
the City of Spring Park, Hennepin County, Minnesota, was duly held at City Hall on May 18,
2026, at 6:00 P.M., for the purpose, in part, of approving property tax abatements.
The following members were present: Mayor Chase, Councilors Horton, Sippel, and
Turner;
and the following were absent: Council Member Suttle
Council Member Horton introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 26-13
RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENTS
WHEREAS, the City Council (the "Council") of the City of Spring Park, Minnesota (the
"City"), proposes to approve tax abatements to finance the costs related to the planned
implementation of electrical system improvements in coordination with the upcoming Sunset
Drive Project (the "Project"). The City proposes to use the abatement for the purposes provided
for in the Abatement Law (as hereinafter defined), including the Project. The proposed term of
the abatement will not exceed 15 years in an amount not to exceed $718,000. The abatement will
apply to the City's share of the property taxes (the "Abatement") derived from the property
described by tax parcel identification numbers in the table below (the "Tax Abatement Property");

WHEREAS, on the date hereof, the Council held a public hearing on the question of the
Abatement (as hereinafter defined), and notice of said hearing (the "Public Hearing Notice") was
published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City at least once more than ten days but
less than 30 days before the hearing; and
WHEREAS, the Council proposes to issue its general obligation abatement bonds in an
amount not to exceed $718,000 to finance the Project; and the Abatement will be pledged to
payment of the Bonds; and
WHEREAS, the Abatement is authorized under Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.1812
through 469.1815, as amended (the "Abatement Law").
