Resolution - 26-14: Approve Change to Absentee Voting Period CITY OF SPRING PARK SPRING PARK, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION #26-14 APPROVING CHANGE TO ABSENTEE VOTING PERIOD WHEREAS, new legislation has passed allowing cities to choose shorter in-person early voting perionds; and WHEREAS, cities may now opt to offer 18 days of early voting instead of administering absentee voting in person for the full 46 days; and WHEREAS, all cities in Hennepin County are required to notify the county elections team by the statutory deadline of June 12, 2026; and WHEREAS, the Spring Park City Council heard and voted on the item at the June 1, 2026 regular city council meeting and affirmed the following: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Spring Park that the city will switch to the 18-day early voting period for all elections.
