Dear Mrs. Thompson, Jean, Shirley and Susan:
The City of Spring Park wishes to acknowledge receipt of your generous check of
$1,000 which you recently donated to be used towards Thor Thompson Park. The City
is proud of the recent ballpark renovation and soil and drainage corrections established.
Our ball players and fans can now enjoy the park to its fullest instead of waiting for
drainage ditch standing water to subside. We are also grateful to the Minnesota Twins
Community program that enabled us to proceed with this much needed upgrade.
At this time we are wondering if you have any specific requests for the use of your
donated funds. Ideas that have come to mind are a bench with an identifying plaque in
your name to be placed somewhere in the park. Another thought was to add your
donation to a fund to be established for a future scoreboard. We serve at your pleasure
and solicit your input.
If in fact you would like the City to decide where best to use your donation, please be
assured it will always be in consideration that Thor Thompson's family wants the funds
dedicated to the continued betterment of the park.
Thank you for your generous donation.
Sincerely,
The City of Spring Park
