The current request for the garage is 24' long x 32' wide. The change is for the garage to be 22' long x 32' wide. The variance approved in 1994 was for 10.5' with the garage 20' long x 24' wide. Richard Ber slien, 2444 Black Lake Road, requested to g q Bruce Williamson come before the Council without a recommendation 471-1029 from the Planning Commission regarding this matter. 2. This first variance request in 1994 was a 12.5' street side variance. The size of the proposed garage was 22' long x 24' wide. 3. The second variance request is a 14.5' street side variance. The size of the proposed garage is 24' long x 32' wide. 4. Simple math would add two feet to the variance request because the new proposal shows the garage two feet longer. 5. Bergslien pointed out at the Planning Commission meeting that part of his property is on the traveled roadway. 6. The survey shows 4.8' of the roadway is Berglien's property. This 4.8' portion was overlooked in figuring the first variance request. The correct calculations show the property owner needs a 9.2' street side variance. City of cFpring Para P.O. I don't feel this proposed garage would restrict emergency vehicles anymore than access is already restricted. Based on the standards that require minimum road width of 20', most of Black Lake Road is a substandard road width. If the City has future plans to increase Black Lake Road to a standard width, that proposed garage could create or increase the current access problems.
