471-9429 Dear Mr. Davis:
Inspections conducted July 30, 1986 where dye was placed in
basement plumbing fixtures and August 6, 1986 which verified red dye
coming up through the ground reveals that your sewer connection for
the plumbing fixtures in basement are improperly hooked up and a
health hazard pursuant to Minnesota State Plumbing Code Section
4715.0210. Every building with installed plumbing fixtures and
intended for human habitation, occupancy, or use when located on
premises where a public sewer is available within a reasonable
distance shall be connected to the City sewer.
As I have said before, this matter does constitute a health
hazard and must be corrected as soon as possible, but no later than
August 31, 1986. Until it is connected to City sewer you must stop
using all plumbing fixtures which exist in basement. If you are found
to be using these plumbing fixtures, citations will be issued and
Hazardous Building Action will be started.
If you have any questions on this matter, please feel free to
contact Dave Goman or myself.
Sincerely,
Thomas J. Jaco s,
